WHAT IS BALAYAGE?
Balayage is a French word meaning 'sweeping'.   Hair stylists Balayage or "sweep" lightener onto hair which creates highlighted pieces.  It is a free-hand painting technique creating a seamless blend of colors from your natural roots to lighter ends.  Balayage is for all shades of hair to add dimensional soft-sunkissed highlights.  

HOW I DO A BALAYAGE?
Every stylist has their own way to Balayage hair.  This is why it is important to look at the stylists' work profile and see if their work aligns with your hair goals.  Results will vary with each stylist, this is what makes us unique artists.  On most hair types, I use a Foilayage technique, which is my preferred method to Balayage hair in foils.   Lightening hair in foils help provide a clean application of bleach to create an even lift and maximum brightness per session.

WHY DOES BALAYAGE COSTS SO MUCH?
There are so many stylists in Orange County that offers this service and prices may vary.  Please do your research and find a stylist that aligns with YOUR hair goals. This service can take approximately 4-5 hours.  Within the timeframe, it usually takes about 2 hours to foil hair;  it requires attention to detail as I take thin sections of hair to create the even lift and maximum brightness.  The finishing touches will not only shadow and tone your hair,  it will be beautifully styled.  It takes about another hour to root shadow and tone the hair.  Then another hour for the finishing touches such as trims, blow-dry, and style.
